My neighbor runs a cross dock here in Phoenix, he has a broker call him a few months ago looking for trucks to run for Amazon at $1.10/mile.

No takers. I do see quite a few of their trailers running I-10 between Phx & LA-all different kinds of trucks, new, old and everything in between.

Almost everything I heard from amazon was bad, I wouldn't recommend them since the highest rate I've seen was 1.25 and that there can be a 1 or 2 hour wait just to get through the gate of one of their D.C.'s.

Well do I dare comment is the question?
I've noticed a want ad for a company that does amazon prime. solo and team. the ad says no less then 2600 miles per week and its mandatory, min pay 1100 per week 14 days out 3 days home. for employees, no slip seat, owner ops 85% of the load. .. its on Craigslist

so far with the scattered amount ive done, I haven't had a wait at a dc, its all been drop and hook so far. one dc asked if I wanted dedicated, their dedicated trailer pool was all xtra lease trailers. I can't commit to dedicated anything without speak8ng with my employer

What's worse than a mega carrier/bottom feeder? You guessed it! Amazon and Uber.

I dont see how $1.10 to $1.25 per mile would work out for large carriers, do you?
