Good. That's out 5 days, 34 at the house on the weekend, by the house for a few hours Wednesday about noonish.
I made the same with another guy on 80% of load. $100 week trailer, almost twice as much for insurance, but was out 3 to 6 weeks at a time, but only about 2500 paid miles. But like I say, out for 3 to 6 weeks at a time, as compared to weekends off.
And my boss now pays all miles, I do his local now, but he pays all D/H. He deadhead me from Houston once, full rate.
Spend maybe 10 minutes a week at terminal, drop weeks worth of logs & BOLs.
Everything in Phoenix is D/H.
No QC. Ungoverned truck.
My local company truck is ungoverned lol.

How long ago did you retire?

Unless I missed it, I didn't see a line for lumper fees. Do jct guys touch their own freight on a regular basis?
-
No touch. Lumper fees are 100% paid.MachoCyclone and EatYourVeggies Thank this. -
A driver should never pay lumper fees.
mjd4277 and MachoCyclone Thank this. -
I wished I could be the lumper for what some of those mopes make. $450. $485. F.MachoCyclone Thanks this.

If you get forklift certified, can you grab an EIN and lump your own stuff and pay yourself??
All you need is a receipt book and a business card. An accountant too so you can keep your taxes down.Dave_in_AZ Thanks this. -
Exactly, back when I used to run reefer, I couldn't believe what some of those guys were charging, it was like extortion.Dave_in_AZ Thanks this.
-
It is. They ordered the stupid product and then charge to receive it. The highest lumper charge I have seen was $630. But, the shipper used the wrong pallets and they had to restack the entire load. The shipper ended up eating the cost on that one.Dave_in_AZ Thanks this.
