Ok, we bought an old 5th wheel camper, and it had been mice ridden and stunk to high heaven with mouse odor (is there anything worse). After cleaning it really well, I took a huge bag of charcoals and made little bundles with newspaper, taping with masking tape to keep the charcoal inside. Tucked them in every nook and cranny of the camper I could. Close it up and let it set a week. Walla...... mouse smell gone! Also White Vinegar is a good deodorizer, but you smell like a pickle for a while.[IMG]

Rent a motel/hotel room and ask one of the maintenance guys to borrow the ozone generator for a bit. They use 'em to remove smoke smell from the non-smoking rooms.

Pretty much! Sometimes, one must be creative! Musicians love duct tape! There's a saying that goes, "If you can't fix it, duct it, if you can't duct it, . . . ." I think you can figure out the last two words!

When I worked for a salvage auto auction the dealers would use a product called OdoBan to refresh the vehicles for resale. It works. Google OdoBan

Odo Ban is good stuff. Had a friend that used it on the cat litter box when she changed the litter. If it will get out that urine smell out of plastic it should get out just about any odor.

Charcoal is what they use in Odor Eater insoles so it must work. The way Bullhaulerswife describes is definitely cheaper than wallpapering with Odor Eaters though. :biggrin_25525:

Febreeze smells funny to me but I can't smell the odor I'm trying to get rid of for a while.

If you are going to continue to smoke in the truck, I think I would go with charcoal because it will continue to absorb odors until it's "full". I will be cheaper than using the chemicals all the time. Cleaning the truck really well first, even smooth surfaces, will help any of the odor eliminators work better. You will probably have to use some spray on the mattress.

Let me know what you choose and how it works. Hubby is with a trainer now and when he gets his own truck I will need to know what to do with his. I wish he wouldn't smoke in the truck because it would cut his smoking down and save money on cleaning supplies for the truck. He has tried to quit before and it didn't work. Truck driving isn't going to make it easier on him.

I have started and stopped smoking 5 or 6 times so I know how hard it can be. Good luck when you do try to quit.:biggrin_25519:
