Yeah, and of course when they buy 1,000 trucks, do you think they pay the same thing as you would? They buy them for the same price they sell them, so there is zero cost of ownership for them. You can't compete with them there, but they want ALL trucks to speed limiters, so you have no advantage anymore.

 

and since slavery has been abolished,these new drivers are free to seek other careers,no?

 

For them, trucking is often a job of last resort.

well,since we were already told that MOST of the ''so called trainees'' leave after 6 months, apparently trucking is not a job of last resort.

 

Or they work for another trucking company - often under worse conditions.

 

we were told they don't last for 6 months.
we werent told that they changed jobs.

 

You've been pawned so many times by so many respected posters that now you're trying to take a concept of high turnover and you're trying to nitpick your way to a win.

 

That's what brought me back to trucking, out of of options.
