I have to disagree with that statement . Vast majority of drivers I have met and conversate with drive because they love it and driving was a childhood dream. That does not make me correct in assuming that most drivers are that way. Neither you or I could prove one way or another why the majority of trainees enter this field but we are probably both partially correct.

See my post #115 in which I SPECIFICALLY state that drivers like myself drive because we are passionate about it.

The post you quoted needs to be taken in context.

    Rusty Trawler Thanks this.

Your quote was in context and I disagree with the broad statement made.

The fact that you choose to ignore my post #115 tells me you stubbornly like to persist against evidence. What I stated in that post is there are people who are truck driver who love it and there are people who do it because they more or less must to earn an income.

And I said "for them, trucking is often a job of last resort."

Note how I said "often" and not 'always.'

Note how I am referring to the newbies who get sucked into the megas in post #124.

Regardless of intent the statement isn't really true.

Why do you think I told you to read my post #115?

In that post I specifically point out drivers who are in trucking for the passion and those who do it because it's a source of income.

Amazing how you fail to grasp this concept in an effort to win.

Has nothing to do with win or lose. I disagree with your broad statement made regarding new drivers. I would have dropped it had you not kept coming back trying to defend a generalized statement. Whatever you said in a previous post had nothing to do with the post I replied. Not following why we can't agree that it was a broad unfactual statement based more on a suspicion than any real factual evidence. I do suspect that most new drivers whom drop out of trucking did so because 1. The life isn't for them. 2. Family issues (wife doesn't want them gone, or they just can't take being away from family) . I say suspect because these companies probably are not conducting exit interviews nor do I think these large corporations care about the why's of the exit.
So that I keep this on the subject of company snitches. People snitch for very few reasons, some snitch for the pure thrill of messing with others. Another because he has witnessed an offense that should be told. Then you have the axe grinder, this person probably feels an offense has been committed against them real or perceived by an individual.

I would have to say the post regarding speeding was not critical but pointing out the obvious that no the ticket had nothing to do with being a northerner and that the speed was a flagrant violation of the lawful speed limit set by the state.
