As mentioned by sni main reason they went to drivewyze is drivers are running the scales with prepass and hurting sni safety score.. This new system should help eliminate that.

 

Nope system is more expensive then prepass

 

So basically they drivers are either not paying attention, or they don't know the rules.

 

Correct which if they don't know the rules them sni needs better training.

 

man, if Red means STOP and GREEN means GO is too difficult a concept to wrap your mind around, I don't think having another electronic device is going to help.

 

But if prepass gives you nothing drivers where just driving by scale instead of following the scale signs.

 

OK. The drivers don't know the rules. Logic dictates they are therefor incompetent.

 

ok, what do you do when prepass says go, and the sign says stop? Or the other way around?

 

Well, I think already see the problem. The coups use the big words "OPEN' & "CLOSED", albeit they are color coded most of the time, not always.

 

Oh man. Hand them the keys to the latest and greatest equipment with automated transmissions, predictive cruise, lane departure warning, collision avoidance, low flying aircraft detection and a simple pre pass stumps them. Maybe they should mount some other kinda funny gizmo on the bumper that slams on the brakes Everytime they try to cluelessly blow by a scale
