I find that a bit hard ....since I am here to learn and find info for my S/O who is a trucker. I feel most times I am NOT the one whom should be responding. Other times all I have time for is reading. After moving from NC to Texas and finding a job and getting my children settled into school and dealing with everyday helping S/O with alt directions, which truck stop has Arbys, where is the nearest KW dealer, ear for him to vent about us lil ol 4 wheelers ect .......
When am I to clean house? Do laundry? Cook and freeze to have ready when he passes within 3 hours driving distance.
If that is the rule I guess I wont worry about it and will just read and find another place to get info. As for other boards having limits I have yet to find one but then I am only a member of 1 other board and 2 groups.
Thanks ,I do understand trying to control spamers and other "trouble" makers .
    Yall have a great day

Just a thought for Ms Sage, if it becomes a problem for you, in that you feel the only way to get your numbers up to the point where you can make pm's. etc...., you can always come right into this section and play some of the things like the "3 word game" or so on, and you'll be amazed how quickly you could make it over the barriers. If you look at many sites, you find scads of folks who signed in, made maybe one post, and stayed on the members list forever. The goal here is to encourage active members, not see how many names can be compiled on the list.

Crystal clear and still appreciate this valuable resource, especially for new drivers. Thanks for explaining reasons behind the policy change.
After searching for about 3 months for a forum that can be trusted,
:sunny: this still rates as the best forum for truckers in my opinion so keep up the good work.

I'm in total agreement. I have been an administrator on a message board such as this (for a completely different subject) and had to close it down because of spam and unwanted postings.

This is a great idea. On another board I belong to [completely different subject matter] there are access restrictions based on time [3 months] and participation level [100 posts, I believe].

Very reasonable and thank you for looking out for the well-being of the board members!
