    Hi Everyone,

I am looking at the following schools in Grand Junction, Colorado.
    Sage Schools
    Excel Driver Systems

Any personal experience with either of these schools would be of help. I am going to pay for the class myself and would like some personal insight from former students or business owners that have employed former students.

Thanks for all the help in advance

    Ol'Copper,

I went to the Sage School in Henderson, CO. It's a pretty good school. The instructors were very knowledgable. I'd recommend the Sage School.

Ol'Copper, by the way. I saw another post of yours. I was an MP in the army, police officer, and most recently a state correctional officer who decided to go into trucking this yr. Been driving for 4 months now.

Thanks for the tip Coyote. I am leaning towards Sage pretty hard and will probably go with them. My wife call the director of the school and treated her like family. She was pretty impressed and in turn, so was I.
I am looking forward to the career change. There is no way that driving Berthoud Pass, in white out conditions, a foot of snow, crazy ski traffic, and a bad defroster could be anywhere as frightening as teaching Afghan cops to shoot:biggrin_25512:. Good thing I came over here bald and half out of my mind:biggrin_2551:.
So Coyote, How is the new career working out? Any regrets? Anything you would have done different?

O'l Copper, anther thing thing I liked about Sage that I wasn't seeing with other schools was that all your driving time was actually behind the wheel and not as an observer part of the time.

Driving a truck is really working out good. I didn't realize until after I quit working at the prison just how stressful it really was and I thought it was an easy job. Just couldn't stand the inmates whining like children all the time. I don't miss working there at all.
