Lane Changing Petition: Please Read

Your petition is all well and good, however getting troopers to enforce the laws that already exist on this issue is another story. They simply don't stop people for doing it. I've had cars do that to me in view of a cop, no consequence.

Secondly, this is impossible to enforce. Can you tell exactly what 100 feet is at 65mph? I can't.

I do agree that cars cutting us off should be ticketed, but some states have already started this initiative.

Tough problem to solve...

 

More rules won't help IMO. The problem is ignorance, willful ignorance to be more exact.

I don't have the answer on how to get drivers to actually operate both their brain and vehicle at the same time though. Multi-tasking is tough.

 

I truly wish you good luck in your honorable endeavor to bring awareness to this issue. I do think though that it's one of those things that most law enforcement officers are not really concerned with..

 

Ohio State troopers are the only ones I know of that take this seriously and have seen in person enforce this. They have no sense of humour when it comes to enforcement of the law and would probably even ticket their own mother.

 

Just get a Herd bumper and let evolution do it's thing.

Why don't you make a video outlining all your complaints about 'dangerous class C drivers.'

I bet it could go viral. Safety departments across the industry will be grateful to you.
