Lane Changing Petition: Please Read

Your heart is in the right place but uh... We don't exactly live in the right era to push for the enforcement of laws that are already on the books.

We could do a truckers lives matter thing and instead of rioting, just open up the trailer doors and swerve down the interstate.

EDIT: Oh shoot, I forgot I was a conservative white male. I better clarify this was a joke before my door gets kicked in and I'm hauled off.

 

Very true. Fact. I've smiled at it happening to my nemeses a few times while in the rig~!!!!

 

Unfortunately creating laws (this law already exists) doesn't stop people from doing things. Gun laws don't stop criminals, speed limits don't stop speeders etc.

 

100 thousand in 30 days why the time limit? that's 3333 per day, i hope you get it but seems a high amount in such a short time.

 

I prefer to consider the professional trucker in his challenges to deal with ignormaus car people changing lanes and other problems in time to avoid a problem.

But you are not going to gain a benefit by changing, adding or even turning us all into a fascist or totalitarianism State banning such behavior in drivers who may or may not know better. Laws are wonderful. But I lean towards good drivers instead. There is not enough Law Enforcement in all the world to run up and down the interstate handing out punishments for such problems.

We are moving towards computer cars. Computers might decide if changing a lane might be good or not. I know of at least one car that apparently took the concrete wall rather than hit another car. *shrugs.

Do I care? Hell yes. But you wont hear much from me. But there is one thing I really hate and fear from anyone, those who pull straight out from the right hand shoulder from 0 to 2 mph without taking the time to gain speed on same and merge properly. Some of my worst near misses came from people who did just that. The salvation for them is that I already saw it developing and began to make plans to act if they actually did that in front of me.

 

Sorry but I had to laugh at your petition.You tell me how that is suppose to stop the illegal lane changes.This law is already in place and you need to learn to deal with it and hope a cop is nearby when it does happen.

 

Like @Coover said, they dang straight WATCH for that #### here in Ohio....and I'm glad of that. I've been cruising up or down 75, and have seen MANY a Statie chase down these yayhoos.

 

That's good and every state should do that but they dont and no petition will stop what's been happening for yrs.Certain areas are worse then others.Anyone who's been driving for yrs is use to the idiots and is always on the defense because they've traveled those roads dozens of times.
