Are you talking about the content of this thread? or the fact that this subject gets brought up again and again and again and again and every time it goes nowhere.

    Either way, I agree!

Bean Jr. and Cottonmouth85 Thank this.

Fortunately that transmission(s) would be hard to find.

I can't believe anyone has to ask what's easier.

I drive an automatic every time I get home. I sometimes have problems remembering how to drive a regular Ford. Otherwise I drive an Eaton 10.
It's what they gave me, what I learned on as well.
My husband got stuck in an auto for a while. It sucked.
But regardless you should learn and test in a manual.
I have heard there are better transmissions but I have yet to experience them.........One day.......A 13 speed.........Etc......

Learn in a manual transmission. You dont want you license to be restricted to auto only

I prefer Manuel, but auto would be better if your local.

There's times when I'm driving the wifes Silverado I go for the clutch that's not there. Occasionally I find myself reaching for the jake switch, only to be disappointed.

Dude I always expect my 4Runner to slow down when I let off the gas thinking my Jakes are on. Lol

Honorable mentions, turning the wheel the wrong way in reverse like I have a trailer on and forgetting to use the clutch when I shift.

Autos are a PITA for dropping and hooking, driving offroad, controlling surge when pulling a tanker, etc.

They are good if you do a lot of stop-and-go driving in city traffic and if tanker surge is not something you have to deal with.
