Well to be honest we use to be MBM . And we just got bought out by mclane a few months ago and we're going to start the new pay scale on may 29th. From what I heard only from our previous meeting is they are going to pay us per piece, per mile and per stop . That's it . Idk anything else about what kind of pay it would be if we come in . No point in telling you how the pay is right now cause it's still MBM pay. It's going to change may 29 to the mclane pay . Hopefully it's better cause I would like to stay here.

you'll be fine , remember what the hand said about slow & steady....he's positively 100 % correct on that. I did the food service for 33 years for GSF ( Golden State Foods ) , retiring in 2011 at 62 years old......good luck on your journey !

Are they gonna get rid of the lift gates and go to the traditional ramp way they do FS?

I keep hearing "it's a young mans game." Well I guess when a farmer hits 30 he's gonna retire. I think society especially in trucking doesn't want to do physical work. Pretty much as technology progresses people get lazy. I work Linehaul and there are plenty of older linehaul guys who's backs go out before 60. Most don't enjoy retirement cause they pass of a heart attack from all the weight gain and stresses of working the night shift just from driving. Plenty of bad knee guys doing a non physical job. I think if you don't take care of your body or use it. It will deteriorate.

A lot of guys that mess them selves up in FS are guys that work reckless and are in such a hurry. Instead of pacing them selves cause they want to get off work early or pats on the back from management who really could care less.

Well, hate to break it to you guys that want to just drive. FS might be the least impacted by the automonus trucks. Certain trades are gonna still need people not robots. I believe food service will be one of those trades.
