Yeah, and then the soccer mom mentality of "oh look a spot" while I'm trying to get in the station and have to wait on them for 20+ minutes, then they come out with a single fountain pop

I run out of the Indy terminal. Get in and apply, they're looking for a couple of drivers. Linehaul and p&d. The Brownsburg terminal is hiring Linehaul too. It's a little further away, but smaller barn. Easier to get a schedule there. Linehaul in Indy means extra board for who knows how long, unless you take a Chicago bid no one wants.

Thanks Naptown! I will probably go to both then as brownsburg is actually a little closer to me. I didn't realize they was hiring for linehaul over there! Thanks again!

Glad I could help. I covered a Brownsburg schedule last night and just happened to see the posting while I was at the dispatch window. Lucky timing I guess.

Good luck to you. You'll like it if you decide to come aboard. OD has good people top to bottom. No worries about micromanaging either, in my experience. As long as I hold up my end and do what I'm supposed to, I'm pretty much left alone to get things done.

It's not necessarily relevant in this instance, but @Chinatown might want to file the info away for other inquiries. OD's Dallas terminal will be expanding soon, AND they will be building a second Dallas terminal. Add in the Ft Worth terminal, and that comes out to about 1000 total doors in the DFW area. Not sure on the time scale, but soon. If it's common knowledge around the watercooler, plans are well under way.

The Chicago bids no one wants have time slots that put one heading into town in the thick of morning traffic. Chicago bids that arrive earlier or later in the day get taken first.
