Another self driver truck thread again

The owner of my carrier freakin amazed me the other day when I stopped by.

He has a Tesla S. He took me out to lunch. Pulled into a restaurant and stopped at the front door. Then pulled out his cell phone,.. hit a button or what ever it was. The car drove off by itself and parked itself. Talk about valet parking.

Then after lunch,.. he broke out the cell phone,.. called the car and it drove up to the front where it let us off,.. by itself.

I have to admit,.. I never had much faith in driverless vehicles. I figured the technology was too far off for me to really be worried. After what I saw the other day, I am seriously concerned.

Mr. Musk doesn't come across as someone that does something half-#####, he's all about success and of course he isn't the only one out there with same ambitions.

 

Many days driving is the easiest part of the job. Is Otto going to do everything else the driver does now? Who takes the blame when something goes wrong?
