Hey everyone hope u all are having a great day. I am pretty excited. I applied for Walmart last year and finally was called last week Thursday April 20th. Did the interview that same day (passed) and was called by the hr manager in Douglas GA the next day to schedule my road test/pre trip test the very next week.

I was anxious and nervous even though I have 6 years experience but everything went amazing and afterwards I went for my physical, drug test, and started the process on my background check. Two days later my background check is done today and I am just waiting I guess for the drug test and employee verification. Looking forward to being apart of a great tradition of drivers and becoming the next generation to Carry on the legacy.

I am 27 started driving when I turned 21 and can see this being my last job (only had 2) from all I have read and seen doing dedicated Walmart for a couple years with my past company USX.

Anyone know much about the Douglas DC or have any advice? I live 200 miles away in Atlanta but 3 hours isn't a big deal for me twice a week considering I'm a truck driver lol.

Douglas runs as far north as Charleston and covers the southeast. If you live in atl there is a grocery dc in Monroe. Running out of Douglas you could go anywhere. Walmart has several D.C.'s in Georgia and Florida. So you could end up anywhere.

    Thanks man! I appreciate it.

I was told by one driver I may want to stay in Douglas instead of transferring so I'm not always in Atlanta traffic because we don't make money sitting in traffic. Think that's true of I eventually transfer to Monroe I won't make as much?

Thanks for the well wishes. Looking forward to it

No matter where you work. Your pay is determined on how hard you run. If you hustle you can make great money. They guys hanging out in the break room talking are the ones not making money

Well I definitely will run as hard as possible. I'll relax on my 10 hour break. But do u agree if I'm working hard at Douglas it will equal more then if I do the same in Monroe do to Atlanta traffic?

They told me if everything comes back clear the next orientation is may 15th if not it will be in June so I'm guessing they stick to the pay period standards for sure.
