Dont hit starter !if the clicking is under hood make sure your amp guage is at 12.5 and not dropping when you hit key,(dead batterys or bad connection)if batteries are swollen not square they are trash.the selonoid is on starter follow big red wire to solenoid, cross the two big post.with screw driver if it doesnt work either your starter is bad ,bateries are bad or you need to clean all your terminals from battery to solenoid to starter.if you have 12 amps on guage with out jumping your batteries are fine,if crossing it does work your soleniod ignitionswitch,or a saftey switch is bad .to test you solenoid touch the tiny hot wire to the big terminal that lines up with little wire.keep in mind solenoid must be grounded eitheir with another little wire 4 prong solinoid or though being bolted on starter 3 prong a 7 dollar test light is required. if dont know how to use this you are helpless and need road service

I gave you a complete trouble shooting. Guide below, but im a very experienced mechanic,i would be willing to bet your batteries are bad .5 months of being dead in winter kill them,if they did charge up i would clean all my battery terminals with wire brush.if you open your hood there is a good chace you have a jump start post on fire wall if you do hook jumpers to there.try to start if it turns over at all its batteries or dirty terminals

Buy the way my real name is on the internet,so my phone number its really no big deal,im not selling cyrystal meth here, and although i have said some pretty inciminating things on here with requards to dot. im old ,at the end of this life span. And hate my job.Sometimes when im feeling real down i think about taking that hard right turn.its so liberating just not to care. And realize that in the end were all dead.No matter what you do the result is still the same.no matter how long you live. in the end it was just yesterday you were having your 5th birthday and in the blink of an eye it will be over
