Yeah, they do need to "approve" something before it will go through. It even beeps at them with a different beep than normal.
They just need to take a breath and read the dang screen.
-
Doesn't matter. It says right on the ticket "split axle and overweight loads not guaranteed" or something like that.Razororange and johndeere4020 Thank this.

We used to have the same issue getting doubles properly scaled@ cat
SidewaysBentHalo, Razororange and johndeere4020 Thank this. -
From talking with a cat scale tech, if the people inside would take just a few moments to read the screens, they would learn that they can do a lot of things.
according to the tech, If some one wanted to, and pressed the right button, you could have any platform report weight, for any position.
It is possible to have the only one platform "active" and weigh every axle on that platform and still give you a true weight report and printed ticket.crb, kylefitzy and DDlighttruck Thank this. -
Is this flatbed we're talking about here?
Edit: Wait.. nevermind I see it's posted in the blatantly obvious flatbed section.Last edited: Apr 29, 2017

Pretty sure the problem ive seen the most is that cashiers not reading or understanding what they are doing.
The way it was explained to me a few months back is that when pads 1 and 2 get weighed it creates a total and they have to accept it before you pull forward to weigh pads 2 and 3 for the trailer. It creates another total separate. Computer does all the breakdown. Still not sure how it gets screwed up. -
I had some college twit saying it doesnt matter etc etc to another cashier signing the ticket as he was showing how to split weigh.
Ignorant as it is cat will still pay if there was a screw up. They charge the fine back to the location that did the weigh.
My gf has been a manager for a truckstop for years and talks to the reps. Yes flatbeds do get covered. I sent her these pictures to give them a heads up they need to do something different. At the very least add the split axle option to their app.
Havent had a chance to take it to social media for a chance at fame and go viral. Lol -
catscale.com, click on "how to weigh" and the "printable" page gives you every imaginable combination and the instructions of how to get it accomplished. Oh, and in bold print the 800 Service number..............
crb Thanks this.
