@ExtremeUnction just stay on 40 longer and then cut up, say around W Memphis. Yeah, a littler longer, but you cannot help it due to weather. Just call Mr Dann and explain situation and they will either reschedule or take it off you and put it on someone who can deliver on time once they figure out a swap area. Heck, they may even give you the extra miles since it's weather related.

I'll never understand how people team drive. I cannot sleep in a moving vehicle.

Weather is factor all over. I ran through all kinds across the country on 80. Now I'm sitting in Rochester waiting to deliver since yesterday and under a severe flood and storm watch until the 3rd.
Told my DM wherever they send me for a reload to get my sick truck to the yard, I hope it's quick and southeast of here. LOL -

Last week was a good week, 2500plus miles sunday to friday. Going to ct or above really helps the miles. Wife rode along tuesday to friday.
Came in yesterday morning and was given 2 drop sabra in mass north of boston. Load was supposed to be ready by 3am, which really meant later on in the morning it would be ready after i got to sabra.
Yesterdays trip allowed me to have some firsts, though wasnt exactly wanting them. Finally put my qc into violation. It was less dramatic than i expected. Had to utilize the adverse driving conditions under 395.1b1 exception. Logged 12 driving hours and managed to not violate the 8 or 14 but with only 6 minutes to spare on the 8 and 21 on the 14. Once done sent a long detailed qc detailing some of the various slowdowns i encountered and asked it be forwarded to stacey. Called her this am and all is well with yesterday. -
But we're still in good shape. I've got 5:49 of drive time left today, and tomorrow I'll have around 10 hours. And it'll take me 14:35 to get to the delivery from here. And that's an overestimate. It'll actually take me less than that.
So BARRING ANY OTHER DELAYS (touch wood), I should make the appointment in time.
Of course, I'm only getting 3:02 back tomorrow night at midnight, so I won't be going anywhere once I get there...RebelChick Thanks this. -
What are the chances of getting a Volvo to drive there? or are they wanting drivers to drive the new Kenworths?
