    Looking at a couple of my friends new trailers today. Both are brand spanking new, got to noticing the difference in the ratings of the anchor points. MAC is a 2017 and Fontaine Extreme is 2015. Wheels on Fontaine say Alcoa Mexico, and the MAC says Alcoa USA. Both nice trailers. MAC has 2 nail boards, while the Fontaine has 4. MAC is all Aluminum, Fontaine is steel framed. Needless to say a big difference in price as well. About $12,000 to my understanding. The MAC has lift axle and rear axle dump, weld on lift axle kit was bought to install on the Fontaine.

    So on the mac how do you use a strap on something that takes up the whole width of the deck? Not using the "tarp bar" would be a problem for me. Sure do like them macs though.

    Edit: I guess the Fontaine doesn't show a WLL for the rail either?

    This Macs sure offer a lot higher ratings than other trailers. Definitely nice trailers

    Trailer manufactures aren't required to rate any of their anchor points by fmcsa.

    Unrated and Unmarked Anchor Points

    FMCSAs cargo securement rules do not require rating and marking of anchor points. While the agency encourages manufacturers to rate and mark anchor points, the new rules do not include a requirement for ratings and markings.

    You have the strap attachment point pictured in the first picture. Its the aluminum piece that is bolted under the passenger side rail opposite from the driver side sliding winch rail.

    Pretty sure most trailer manufacturers recommend against securing to the rub rail. It's a skinny piece of aluminum welded to actual securement points.
