I hope so. They pulled me out of my old 14 and put me in another 14 back in December. Thought you are supposed to get a newer one but oh well.

    Hey all,
Does Holland make everyone get a new physical/med card at orientation? Or if you already have one, they accept the one you have?
    Thanks.

I've come to understand that it depends. Depends on how much time you have left on your current one and their mood at the time.

I had over a year left on mine and I still had to get a new one before orientation . No big deal as I'm healthy and they reimbursed me.

Another guy showed without a new one and got it done locally in Fargo the first day , again, not a big deal either.

It is a big deal when one knows they have problematic health issues that even a monkey could detect, and they're trying to buy time.

^ ok , then don't come here if you can't qualify for a new one right now . Go to another one of the thousands of trucking companies that will take your current medical card.

Seeing the unhealthy hardly breathing fat peices of garbage that can barely get out these trucks, how can one fail anyway ?

I hope you weren't directing that at me. I was just trying to explain why some drivers go to great lengths to seek out these companies who accept a current medical ... playing devil's advocate.

Furthermore, I was trying to express the apparent notion that Holland seems to use their better judgment when deciding wether a new driver applicant might better go down for a new medical or they feel good about the driver and will accept his current to save a few dollars. Often you can just tell on first sight

If it were up to me, ALL new driver applicants would go to MY doctor and get a new medical cert, no ifs, ands, or buts, outward physical appearance would mean nothing.
