Beware guys, Celadon has 1 foot in the grave and could go out of business at any time.
Some management changes and emergency financing have been announced, but at this point a stiff breeze will push them over the edge...

The downfall must have started when the father became ill and the son took over.
Company drivers that are owed money will be on the CB radio now, "Any owner-operators need some good tires cheap? I'll let you have them cheap if you pay to swap them out."Last edited: May 3, 2017

Their rediculous practices have been going on for years. Why else would they be taking 25% of the billed fsc from owner ops and lease purchase drivers? Makes sense now. Constant weekly issues with payroll being short, and then taking weeks for them to get it to you. With recent issues, it sounds as if they were doing a short of in house ponze scheme

Celadon is currently beyond my risk threshold as the BIG BOYS are controlling the share price now. They have shorted the living bejeezies out of the stock. Todays rise could be a dead cat bounce before stock drops sharply again
8 analysts still rating the stock a BUY but that may be outdated

I will have to agree with everything that was said so far, if you work for celadon my honest advice is for you to start making some phone calls and quit. You will be out of a job very soon, this company has debt up to their eyes, wall street and investors are calling celadon enron of trucking. Think about that would you like to work for a company that is being compared to enron ?
Yesterday celadon had a conference call which was a joke, usually in events like this public companies always let you ask question however in this case the call lasted only 15 minutes and no questions. On May 15th or so they are supposed to report their earnings which they already kind of said it will be a loss of 10 million. Bank of america just blessed them with a 250 million loan and wells fargo with another 200 this is just so they can stay alive and keep the lights on.
Also there is something like 16 law firms who have just filed lawsuit against celadon for fraud, even lets say celadon can turn this ship around that will take years. The only life line I can think of for them is if USA trucking or Werner buys them out, and I would imagine they would only pay 3 bucks a share because celadon isn't worth anymore then that.Triple C Thanks this. -
@JohnOTR I was thinking Knight-Swift might buy them out but I like your analogy of "USA Truck, Werner" better..
AtticusRoad Thanks this.
