2015 Volvo D13 engine injectors problem

    My cups went out at 100000 replaced 3 with injectors under warranty on a 2016. It would be nice to find be something that would help this issue. Since Volvo can't or won't.

    Wow they only did 3? Wich dealership was it? That's a dealership that should be avoided. Doesnt take much more to replace the 6pack.

    Yes. It would awesome if we found a solution to prolong injector life at least to 500k miles.

    unless someone one to recast the injector housing i have tried and so far no luck with coming up with anything the only thing i can do is that i can usually find the one thats got the issue and replace only that injector and cup had a lot of good luck.

    Potentially yes...... just depends on how many miles you get in before the loctite gives out.

    The good thing is that Volvo is updating fuel system in new engine going to common rail it should be 2018 model year they are trying to fix a problem Volvo has had since it first introduced an engin in us they have always had cup issues as far as I can remember. D12 all versions d16 d13 all of them but d13 with stainless cups by far worst than all the other versions

    I thought the brass cups were the worst ... Stainless with conical injectors better.

    Yes If you can get it down to 4um or less it'll help with life of the injectors.
    There is a 7um Davco filter offered by Donaldson and Fleetguard that are both good.
    We really need a primary filter that filters like a CAT Exceptional Efficiency fuel filter... 3um absolute
