In his second go round (after the truck rollover), Chewy did everything he could to stack the odds in his favor. He went out, off the beaten path to find a job. He asked questions. He did his research. He LISTENED (not hearing...listening to hearing is like focus is to seeing, much more intense and meaningful). He surrounded himself with knowledgeable, positive people. Zero handholding. It was all Chewy. That's a hell of a good Man, IMHO. Textbook example on a driver bringing that A Game.

Putting forth effort, investing in yourself pays off immediately. Chewy went from someone who called a trucking company begging for a chance to drive again, to becoming the 'go to' guy at his company in a very short time. Way to go Chewy. Bringing that A Game.

Stuff I hauled didn't have an axle that went from one side to the other. Plus, New Holland was a big customer for that carrier. As long as it was safe, we did it the customer's way.

I can see plenty of places on that for securement besides over a piece of wood that won't damage anything.....

John Deere used to bolt temporary tie downs on their mowers for shipping. I find it hard to believe New Holland doesn't. But, I've been away from hauling farm machinery for over 8 years now, so maybe it's all different now

They were just a piece of flat steel with a hole cut in them. Very flimsy.
