Most companies require you to have a drivers license for 12 months prior to hiring you.
Can you afford a cdl school? If so, you might get a couple of companies to give you a pre-hire letter before spending money on a school.
Someone else on here the other day has the same problem.
First, get your drivers license, then let us know. Perhaps then we can help you get started.
Put your location on your profile so we know the hiring area you live in. -
Don't do it
CTNinja, diesel drinker, Diesel Dave and 3 others Thank this. -
If it took you 5 year just to pay off the court costs it's going to take you 10 years to save enough to pay for CDL school...
Join the military as a truck driver. They will pay you, feed you, train you, insure you, teach you responsibility and you'll have a great job reference when you get out.SingingWolf, snowwy, Jazz1 and 2 others Thank this. -
Juvenile offenses dont show up on your driving record...especially if you didnt have an issued license.
Pull your driver record from bmv.
Choose a company sponsored program which pays for everything, food, lodging, etc.
Do not go to cr englang 15 day bs. -
As Mr T says "don't be fool, stay in school!"

That will.
It isn't a Juvenal offense it is a driving offense, and is open to discovery. -
How are you going to put points on a licence which doesnt exist?
TequilaSunrise Thanks this. -
Hey guys. Remember when you wanted to be a driver. I do. I was going to drive the wheels off that COE. That didn't last long. I didn't know what day it was just daylight or night. One afternoon I was laid over and penciled out how many pennies/hr I was making. So that dream went to s#&t fast.
SingingWolf Thanks this. -
His license did exist. Just wasn't valid. According to his math. He would have been 16 or 17.
Doesn't quite make sense though. His license was suspended for driving with no license AND no current plate.
Obviously the abbreviated version of his story.
