Aspen or pacesetter are my favourites. Our 13 axle setups are aspen but I know a couple people with pacesetter set ups now too

Does any of your Aspens have the chain pockets instead of D-rings? I noticed you can get 1/2" chain pull ups too.
Oxbow, noluck and Razororange Thank this. -
Yup, I noticed on our new big one there are rated tooRazororange, johndeere4020 and Oxbow Thank this.

What are the chain pockets rated for? I think I would like them than a D-ring. The chain pulls would be nice too.Razororange Thanks this.

That's probably what'll I'll end up with which is fine, but those Aspens have some nice features.snowman_w900, passingthru69 and Razororange Thank this.

My little Aspen has been great for what we do, but it is too short for someone hauling all the time for hire. It is a 50 ton, and my lightweight with a daycab 379 is 40,000 lbs.. I can easily permit up to an 85,000 lb. load in our region on 7 axles. At 85K there is still a touch of arch left. It works well for us getting into tight places, but the inner bridge limits me on payload, especially with 5' spreads on the trailer axles.
I mention this to support what others have said about buying too heavy of a trailer; if I were to purchase a booster that would extend the center of my trailer axle group I could haul close to 100,000. I looked at the possibility of a jump jeep like Nate's, but with my short trailer I would not gain much due to inner bridge restrictions.snowman_w900, Ruthless, passingthru69 and 4 others Thank this. -
They call yours a Contractor series or unofficially a "pistol" neck, I talked to them extensively at con expo. I think I would go with the 55 ton modular.snowman_w900, Razororange and Oxbow Thank this.
