Back around 1989-1990 I was parked at a Truckstop in GA. I was in a 1978 W900A with a 42" sleeper. Truck to my left had a covered wagon with green panels, he had just eased the clutch out when I stuck my head out of the curtain..... when the dust settled I found myself setting in the seat trying to push the front bumper off, felt kinda silly when I realized I had nothing but my under britches on lol.
Know your limitations (get some sleep)

And for some of us it acts as a mild hallucinogen.

If you're towed, there's a good chance it goes on your DAC. But you weren't really towed anywhere, just out from a ditch. So I'm not sure.
I'd keep a close eye on it and put in for an appeal if does show. You can do it on the website. -
Before getting into trucking, I had an office job. A co-worker who claimed to have tried every known hallucinogen told me long-term sleep deprivation is the most powerful.bzinger and Florida Playboy Thank this.

Another reason to hate e logs and castrated trucks.
Back when I was pulling a reefer coast to coast, I was in a tight schedule, but I knew my limitations. As soon as I got that first nod, I would pull over. I could care less how long that nap lasted. But I would get up and mash on it keeping that left door closed!
You can't do that with e logs and castrated trucks. -
I've driven drowsy may times, sometimes you just can't help it, usually I'll crank the A/C or open the window, especially if I have no caffeine handy. If I know I have a coworker out and about at the same hour, I'll give them a call, it helps keep us both awake.
The last time I drove overly tired, Denver to Houston and back, trying to do it with only a brief nap in Baytown, I swore there were millions of little white people dancing on my hood..............it was hail..............I took a 10 in Boise City, Ok..
I've pulled over many times and grabbed a nap, if I'm going to be late, as soon as the office opens, I'm on the radio letting them know and why, I've never been chewed out for it, a few times I've been questioned why I didn't get enough sleep. They understand, it sucks trying to call a customer and tell them the driver is going to be late.OLDSKOOLERnWV Thanks this.
