I get more loads to the Carolinas out of Monroe than Atlanta. I think a lot of the dedicated do Atlanta but I'm not sure. If you get a load out of LaGrange though it will almost always be the Atlanta area.

Does Walmart keep you in a certain region around your home DC, or do they just run you everywhere?

My relative retired from there. That's an older DC I'm suprised there were hiring. As for Douglas wm is the biggest thing going on there. After pilgrams pride shut down. And as far as Monroe DC. There is more $ to be made at any hvdc or groc. There is more activity hince more pay. Have fun in Douglas and enjoy the bbq festival or cook of they have there.

    Regional.
Within about a 5 state region from the DC for me. Also depends on whether I have to slip seat that week of not, If I do, then usually a 2 state area.

Congrats, you'll have no regrets! I love it more as time goes by. July will be 4 years for me, best job I've ever had.

You have bigger states in your region, LOL. Some weeks I cover up to 11 states, I'm sure at some point I'll add to that number, just depends on the ROC. Some guys gripe about being sent into other DC's, but that's how I make the most I can, miles are miles, and the more I get the better, plus I love seeing other parts of the country other than just my area of service.

I see what you mean. I agree, miles are miles and love to stretch it out every once and while. I have a question for you. I had a preventable accident about 3 yrs ago , there was no citations and was not dot preventable. Do you think this will give me problems trying to join the Wal-mart family?

Not at all. Any non-preventable accidents aren't a problem, you can find out all the requirements on the drive4walmart website. You should be good with that. Tell them if they ask, but you'll be fine I'm sure.

    kruz1980 Thanks this.
