As far as routes....you would have to call them and ask. Most routes whether line haul or P&D will get you home daily.

As far as I am aware they have no tuition reimbursement program other than dock to driver. Some terminals will hire new grad CDL's and some will not. Once again, a quick phone call can net you the answer.

They don't help with school. They do have their own training, but it's for current employees. Dock hands, mostly.

They will hire new grads with CDL as needed. Big expansions or green field terminals where they need lots of drivers at once are good bets for students. I believe @wawtrucker got hired as a CDL grad.

All of the Indy routes get home daily, excluding teams. There might be a few bag routes, but I haven't heard of them. Indy runs go to all the surrounding states. MI OH KY IL MO WV mostly, direct to terminals and meet and turns. There's always the possibility you won't make it back once in a while and have to do your 10 in a hotel, but it doesn't happen often. Bad road conditions in winter is the main reason. Good news is that if you get close enough they'll come recover you. Usually.

I will be living in Kokomo , IN Would I have to drive to Indy or Greenfield before my day starts and drive back after work or do they have anywhere close to Kokomo or let you take the truck home ???
I am Thinking not ! But thought I would throw that out there.
I will be back in Indiana in a couple of weeks and maybe I need to go talk to them.
I can pay for Sage school or whatever but would like to know what all I can do with them if they did hire me.
I don't expect to make a fortune but as long as im making pretty god money that would do.

Kokomo to indianapolis is about 60 miles. You'd be adding 2 hours commute on top of a 12-13 hour work day. That's a pretty long grind. The only other terminal up that way is South Bend, but that would be a long drive too.

As much as I would recommend OD to anyone, you might look into companies closer to where you live. It's no good being home every day if you have to go to bed as soon as you get there, and leave again soon as you wake up.

I agree with Naptown. There are several guys running out of our terminal who live an hour or more away. Not fun for them at all. One solution is to run teams or wild. That way the commute is only once a week or so.

Yeah to have to do that to be home daily would really suck !!!
For me it would have to be some where closer like 20-30 minutes , any more than that would not work for me.
Would be great to find a company that I could go get a truck that is ready to go , run maybe 250-300 mile , do a drop and hook and come back 5 days a week. :)
So if anyone is looking , hire me lol
