i don't run otr anymore, but i had enough blankets that i was good down to about 25 degrees, and a pair of insulated slippers, if my feets was warm, i would sleep like a baby.

More blankets and or more clothes won't help me. I use a CPAP and discovered the hard way that I can't sleep if the cab is too cold.
Woke up one night and couldn't feel my nose! Looked in the mirror when I was starting the truck, my nose was pale and waxy looking, close to frostbitten!
The CPAP pressurizes and pumps air into the mask. The heater on it warms the water in the humidifier, but doesn't warm it much, not enough to help anyway.
Imagine trying to sleep with subfreezing air at 9 psi over your nose.
When I had the truck in to have the inverter installed for the CPAP I asked to have a Webasto heater installed and was told that the truck was to old, ( 2003 ) and they wouldn't put one in. So, when it's cold, I idle when I sleep. Hot I can deal with, cold, I idle. It's hard enough trying to stay healthy on the road without pumping ice cold air into my lungs.
