California is selective enforcement of laws. Had two California State Troopers tell me to drag two flats on a trailer full of HAZMAT through LA. to the Ontario truck stop for repair or they would arrest me for theft of the tractor. Obviously money overrides any safety of public regulations in LA. "Slow and Easy"

Sir, this statement makes no sense. What does getting arrested for grand theft have to do with pulling two trailers to a shop for repairs?Big Don Thanks this.
-
I think he had 2 flat tires, LOLMACK E-6 Thanks this.
-
Oh, tires. Duh....

I thought he was referring to flatbed trailers. -
It still makes no sense at all!
No way in hell are they are going to arrest him for theft of the tractor, unless it showed up stolen on the computer. And if it did show up stolen on the computer, no way in hell are they gonna let him go.
If we are going to be telling trucker tales, at least make them sound reasonable. As an example, "they were gonna arrest me for possession of a stolen truck, but the US Marshall that was escorting me made them let me go..."
Plantfoam Thanks this. -

C'mon how did you really manage to turn no padlock into a $10K fine? I pulled HM for JBH back in the day, but I stopped and got a padlock at the Depot a few miles before the Hesperia scale, and have lived happily ever after.
