We've seen plenty of lease purchase horror stories and they all read the same.

I'll address this. First of all everybody complains about some things...but nobody complains about everything.
Secondly, I will always complain about the rampant, incisive, over-whelming, stupidity that has plagued todays "wanna-be's" in the Lease/Purchase aspect of the industry that has been made unbearable by every entity involved (stupidity and greed being the top two).
As MACK E-6 says, there are tons, and tons, and tons of horror stories on THIS site alone (that doesn't include the thousands that are certainly nestled on dozens of sites that a simple Google search can pull up). ALL of that information is available to every single sole that has a computer (or Smart Phone), internet access, and eyes (as well as comprehension and common sense).
Seems people don't have the time to research before they completely destroy their lives (or at the very least turn their lives upside down)...but obviously have the time to come to a site like this and complain about how THEY got screwed by someone else, after the fact.
At this point, I (personally) can not sit here and blame the "company" that offers a Lease/Purchase (though I DO feel they are complete unscrupulous scum)...I put the blame on those that fall for it, with all the negative information they have access to, yet find themselves too lazy and/or "star struck" to do the research.
Finally; if you'll notice a certain trend...a lot of these 'failures' are one post wonders. To ME, that shows, they are STILL not reading and absorbing, and most likely did not learn a lesson (because they blame the COMPANY they failed with instead of themselves) and will try it again with another "No Credit Check/No Down Payment" company out there, and do it all over again.
Just like those morons that get 3, 4, or 5 DUI's....there are certainly gonna be morons that get more than one Lease/Purchase fail. Its' lunacy that eventually leads to bankruptcy in some cases...and when someone files bankruptcy (as a tax payer) it affects ME and my wallet.
We really need to come up with another saying/example...this one's getting way over used.

Lease purchase=rent to "own." Always pay rent (lease) never do you own.

There are plenty of scam, horror stories etc..But what's the use of coming on here complaining all the time... If it's the same excuse about trying to help the next driver out.. Well that's dead bc they always see for themselves.. Nothing is perfect but something can always be improved...All I say Everytime I come on here it's always bashing a company bc one didn't have success.. That doesn't apply to everyone..You may need$2500 to 3000 a week some don't... Would one take it hell yeah but I've been with guys coming straight outta cdl school to lease then fail...Then..Come here to bash the company like they been driving 20 years but hey... on the internet you can be what you want and say whateveryou want people to hear... I've been screwed a few times but never bashed the company and if drivers ask I tell them.. I wasn't successful but may be different for you..

    Ahh, western flyer express.
Best OTR job I ever had, more freight than anyplace
I ever worked. All west coast and back to the Midwest.

Small 250 to 300 truck operation, everybody knew
Everybody. Dispatch, payroll and the shop all within
    50 feet of one another.
You could walk right up the dispatch window and
    Pick any load you wanted.

That's was about 5 years ago all company drivers.
Then they realized how much they could make off of
Lease/purchase and it went straight down hill from there.

Particularly the .10 cpm maintenance fund that they
Keep to gaurantee a full warranty on the used trucks
That they had at the time.
That's about 300 bucks per week per truck.
Multiply that by a hundred trucks and see what you get.

Rode by there yard a couple weeks ago. There 10 times
Bigger in just 5 years. There almost a mega with all the
Mega's rules. Almost all lease drivers now.

Life is good when you got a line around the block
Of drivers begging to pay all your bills for you.

If you quit and turned in a lease trk
Read your contract, they have up to 45 days before final settlement. Standard settlement law.. contract, fine print, I never read the whole thing.. Geez
