12 liter, just kidding I don't know jack shift,
-
Im hoping to. The load pays $28,000 after expenses should take in $10,000

3.55 and a 475?
I know people trying to haul 84k out of the quarries that have difficulties.
At 200k, I doubt you could even get moving on a 2% grade.
I don't know much about heavyhaul, but the guys grossing 130k lbs pulling dozers at the jobsites all seem to have 550+hp running 18 speeds. -
Yeah im thinking about pull out of this load. Just dont want to beat the truck down.
-
Engine HP isn't an issue. That rear axle ratio however, is. 3.55's are road gears. 4.10 - 4.56 would be better suited for heavy work. I would also guess you've probably got 40k rears too? Way too light IMO if that's the case.
Roger McG, OLDSKOOLERnWV, TripleSix and 1 other person Thank this. -
Yep your right. I think im getting out of it. Until i get a unit that can be spec to haul that weight.

I have pulled 213,000 on a 13 axle rgn. From Oregon to LA. 550hp/18sp. 6% grades @ 18/21mph. You do the math. If and only if there are no grades more than 4% it could be done. You'll be down in 3rd most likely. Just remember, once you get all that metal rolling it takes alot of real estate to stop it. Plus you will need "good" pilot car drivers. They make all the difference. Good luck.
Lepton1 Thanks this. -
Thanks guy for your input. I appreciate it.
