With that kind of weight the truck would come to a stop while you're changing gears with a ten speed. You could never get out of first gear be unless you are going down hill.

Do it if you want, we need another thread about fixing axles and driveline.

15 speed deep reduction or 18 speed for that kind of weight and definitely a shorter gear ratio if possible.

    bigguns and okiedokie Thank this.

Ok, here is my thoughts and flame away
But why are you or your company you pull for giving you a ld.that from the way you posted it. Have No friggn clue what you are doing.....
Yea look at me, I get to pull this really heavy load.. I'm a really big rigger now
You might get lucky and not tear anything up.. But keep doing it with that setup and your trk is gonna have something break
Is this something that your company does on a regular basis and the regular heavy trucks are busy or down for maintenance and in a bind or is this a ld they or you snagged thinking you will make the big bucks....
Too many wanna be's in this business
    Prove to me I'm wrong

Roger McG, Oxbow, noluck and 9 others Thank this.
