I like looking at old school truck specs. Interesting to see when freight haulers ran 290's against 10 speeds with 4.33's out back. I never do see old school heavy haul trucks for sale; just in magazines n at old truck shows.

I've done it in an R-model with a 300 and a 10 with deep reduction. All south of 120K though...Oxbow, wore out and OLDSKOOLERnWV Thank this.

I bet they probably ran 5x4 with like a 5.29 or deeper axle ratio.
