Yes, everything set up. I dont know why I am nervous and want to do 1 trip with someone familiar with the border crossing.
Called a few trip for Moncton and Calgary. There was a load of steel to Winnipeg paying $3500. When I made my second call it was gone. Not many loads back from that area though.
I been quoting, $2.25 for NS,NB,PEI though.

You should be in the 2.50 to 2.75 cdn range for ontario to nb ns pei.
Those loads are not easy to get. There are more drivers that are happy to stay in Canada or won't go to usa for whatever reason and the rates reflect this. Can you do well staying in Canada? Yes. Is it easy? Not for the new guy.
If your border paperwork is setup and your scac and carrier code are active you should get to using them. Do you have an agent that will help you with your ace and aci manifests? They will walk you through any questions you have. They are worth the small fee they charge per crossing or per shipment. -
For ace and aci I have border crossing set up and they call me every couple of asking if I have some question.
Canada only is pretty hard... I have it experienced today. Either the loads were gone within minutes or were paying low.
For the loadboard, I have Canada subscription only. At this time (11:15am), there are only 45 FL going to 300 mile radius Pittsburge from Toronto. Seems very low. I know U.S board has a lot more volume, but still.Last edited: Apr 25, 2017

Booked a load through Matrix on Fridaybfor Montreal and here I am sitting trying to find a back haul.
Called Matrix for a load posted from Bramptom to Kanlakee IL = 546 miles amd paying $700 O_O. -
How much did you go from Toronto to Montreal for if you don't mind sharing..?
-
700 and then 50 for drop trailer.
We did a nice load to Saint Joh NB for $2500 a couple of weeks ago.
Later this week, into U.S. -
I hope you didn't come home empty from St John to Toronto...
If I was running that I would look to run from there down into USA then USA to Toronto... have not run this myself but that's what I'd look to do...
I hope that 750 Tor to Mtl didn't occupy your trailer for too long.. that is a tough lane there and back ... -
It is a tough lane. We have been sitting in Montreal since 9 am.
From New Brunswick we deadheaded 300km to St.Quentin and got a load back to Toronto paying $1700. It looks like there are more loads coming back from.NB, NS then going into.
Any brokers I should avoid? -
Off the top of my head... Fuel, scotlynn, star van
