So most loads at Millis are 500-700 miles? Or do you get your share of 1200 mile (or longer) loads too?
You guys get out west much?

We get both. My loads this week were shorter on average, but I had more of them, so it balanced out. The loads I had this week would probably be considered typical for regional drivers. But, we have (typically) more road time than regional. So instead of getting my normal miles over 5 loads, I got my miles over 8-9 loads, or whatever it was. When that happens you just have to be more calculated with your time. Trip planning matters more than anything out here. You've heard the phrase "time is money", I'm sure. That's no joke when it comes to trucking.FalconsFan21 and RoadCall Thank this.

Yeah I've been at it 25 years now, I hate elogs but if you manage your time right you can still get plenty of miles. It's the loading and unloading that eats the clock. Are most of your loads dnh?
-
I'm sorry, I don't know what dnh means, please explain. Also, as mentioned earlier, please post questions to the other thread, not this one. Thanks in advance for your cooperation.

Dnh = drop & hook
You don't want people asking questions? Lol

Your on a public forum that is here to share information, yet you don't want to be bothered answering questions. No problem, I'll look for my answers elsewhere.

Dude. I never said I wouldn't answer your questions. I simply asked that you post them on the other forum. I always answer questions and return messages.Macawdad, Farmer54, Suspect Zero and 1 other person Thank this.

If that's the way you wanna look at it, that is fine. But don't kid yourself.
Company doubles their revenue....company doubles your work....and YOU make the SAME money.
If you look at it any other way; you are trying to keep yourself from going bat #### crazy at the thought of being used like a puppet. -
Yikes. That's a pretty dismal outlook. My dispatcher always takes care of me, so I don't care about the runs. Got some rough weeks, got some easy weeks. It all balances out
BubbRubb, Adrienna Brown, Lonesome and 1 other person Thank this.
