Surprised no ones pointed this out or maybe I missed it, but you don't work directly for Coca Cola.

You're working for a Coca Cola distributor.
Maybe some details about the specific one you're at would help people looking for info.
Union? Location? Name of company? On and on...

Sounds like you need to turn in your CDL and get a job at Burger King

My days approach 12 hours on a fairly regular basis not counting commute, but we get weekends off unless you want a saturday run and for the money we make, I can't complain.

100 air mile rule only applies when putting in 12 hours or less. The second you break 12 hours on the 14 he clock regulations state that you must submit logs for that particular day

Edit another driver already mentioned this after I looked through the thread, nevermind

Yea...I need that on top of my disgruntled daily activities.
Do you work for Coke? o_O
I aint sayn ship!! No one has tipped me off to what I'm wading off into,so I gotta take it.
Look into Coke, and you tell these drivers who has taken over what region. Its out there, and
I'm hoping they rectify the problems.
I was also told my new job would probably be temporary through this change of hands.
Never was mentioned in my interview.Go Figure.
recruiting is for suckers. You heard it here first!:D

Screw commuting. Buy your own truck and work local. Sign the logbook at the end of the day, walk in your front door and have a hot shower and a hot dinner.

I work 9 hours a night, Monday night/Tuesday morning through Friday night/Saturday morning. 10:30pm-7:30am. Sometimes a great day ends at 7am, a bad day at 8am. The only thing that can screw this up is bad weather. Either way, 45 hours a week for $1,200 gross isn't bad.

At my job, there are routes that are only 5.5-6 hours long. You can literally work 30 hours a week if you want as long as you can handle only making $700-$800 per week.

Are you considered a driver salesman? When I worked at Pepsi, there were some guys that were also the salesman for some of their stops. The DOT laws allow for a driver salesman to work up to 80 hours per week. Otherwise as a driver, as long as you guys don't deliver on Sundays, you should work on a 60 hour clock. But, you are allowed one 16 hour day per week.

During the summertime, Drivers would routinely hit their 60 hours. The way they remedied the situation was by scheduling the relief driver/helpers off earlier in the week. Like, you'd have Monday and Tuesday off and work Wednesday through Sunday (Sunday you merchandised). So, on Friday and Saturdays, if a driver didn't have the hours, he'd go out as the helper, and the relief driver would run the route. Or what would often happen, is the driver entered the day at 52 hours. He'd drive for the first 8 hours of the route, then the helper would drive the rest of the route.

As we all know, you can work after your 60, or your 70 if you run on a 70/8 clock, you just can't drive after you hit it.
