Headlight recommendation?

You really are turning into a proper Swift driver aren't you?

 

Swift must be so proud - Another Swifty running half as dim as everyone else, looking for the tool to blind other drivers. Carry on Swifty.

Swift uses the same quality DOT certified bulbs everybody else does, you should have picked up spares at a terminal. What did truckers do years ago with those 35w sealed beams; hard to imagine freight ever got delivered?

 

I keep trying to imagine today's drivers getting anything done back in the day when I started 30 years ago... I just can't.

 

sylvania zxe, they are the best non-hid or non-led bulb. $60 at autozone, $30 on amazon. or you could spend $150 on a pair of led bulbs.

 

Hard to tell. Believe me, this has been a topic here before and their a lot of 'drivers' that could give a squirt about blinding others on the road.

Your not going to find them in the truck stop. And the the brightest is going to be illegal and most likely blind others.

I hate those too. But at least they are dimmer then other bulbs.

Yeh, hit up the terminal for some extras. Otherwise buy whatever you can ASAP before you get a ticket and inspection with your burned out headlight.

All the bulbs you buy over the counter are going to be the same DOT spec. If you want to try to waste your money on something "special" go knock yourself out and waste your money. Any coating put on the bulb is going to make it dimmer.

Their is many folks out their that could give a crap about other drivers; just check out all those fools with the HID kits. If you think your going to get something special with any bulb at a truck stop, you might as well be one of those guys.

 

it's not about blinding others, it's about lighting the road in front of you so you can see whats coming up. op should check his headlight aim and adjust them.
