You can't paint a headlight bulb blue and get more light out of it so knock your self out if you like throwing money away.
LED bulbs are not legal.
The stock lights now days should be more then adequate to drive by. You need more then what is in trucks now days you should get off the road and leave the driving to those with better eyesight.
Headlight recommendation?

if led lights aren't legal then why do all the new cars, trucks and semis come with them from the factory? those bulbs aren't painted blue, the paint would burn off.
-
LED replacement bulbs are not certified.
The cars that come from the factory with them have been approved by the DOT. -
They look great when they aren't blinding me. I have been in a couple of trucks that had them and t definitely helped to better illuminate what was immediately in front of me. No question. I don't know that I can speak for what they illuminated at a distance.

The two LED system one is regular and when flip on high beams the other LEDs come on. You would have to double check the older light system may not run LED light without changing the computer setting. They could flicker if because of the power they are getting

Unless you are the guy meeting one on a hilly two-lane road and get blinded by them. DOT approved or not, they shouldn't be allowed.RedRover Thanks this.

I drove a new cascadia for a little bit and the cutoff on the headlights was one of the few things that was well done on that truck. It wasn't blinding oncoming drivers.Txdriver77 Thanks this.
