No cowpie I cannot say usx is any better than that. They are actually pretty close to the same. The usx fsc chart means. Nothing to me as I get 100% of the fsc on every load. The load I finished out yesterday the fsc was. 57 cpm. The load I pick up tomorrow its only. 56 cpm. Last year my all miles average was If memory serves correctly around 1.56 all miles so far this year I'm at 1.54 for all miles but the year is still young and that average will come up. Last fuel I bought pump price was 3.83 my price was 3.32 thats a. 51 per gallon discount on that one. Honestly thats a little higher than normal. It usually runs between 25 and 40 cent depending on where you are. So all things considered we are no better than your guys. At your claimed 7.4 mpg fuel surcharge should buy just about all your fuel. I dont get but 6.6 so it doesnt quite cover mine. I don't think usx is any better than any body else out here but I haven't found anything I thought was that much better either and believe me I have tried.

Ah, but you are comparing the percentage thing that, has been stated earlier, USX keeps limited in scope and doesn't let everyone know about. The discussion was started regarding the mileage rate type of lease on. You and I are comparing apples to oranges. I made it clear that my comparisons are based solely on the rate and fsc charts that USX puts right on it's website for all to see, and link was provided earlier in the thread. It is rather disingenuous to mix in obscurities into the comparisons. But since we went there, it is somewhat interesting I am getting, on a mileage program, very similar results as someone on the percentage deal. Not bad. I do appreciate the comparisons on that level.

usx website shows the minimum... you will never make less than what the website shows but you can make more...

That is something that troubles me about trying to find out information. Something like "that is the minimum" and "but you can make more". That just isn't that basis for making a business decision. I am not into playing "what if" things with my business. I do not mind the percentage type of thing, as rates charged a customer may change, but everything else needs to be up front. Take for instance, Schneider. Their percentage program may or may not be what someone wants to do, but they are up front on how it works, percentages, charges, etc. There really is no good reason to withhold information on the percentage side of a program and only put out the mileage rate plan, and even that, is not entirely accurate. But to each his own.

In the words of the great Captain Jack Sparrow, the only thing that matters is what a man can do and what a man can't do. Now a man can make money at usx on the mileage program. What he can't do is make money on any plan pulling any type freight if he doesn't control cost at every opportunity. What each individual decides is ok with him is totally up to him and the rest of us cant say it isn't the best way to go. Take trucks for example. We all know big hoods and cats dont get very good fuel mileage and we all know there is money to be made in fuel savings. But yet guys buy em everyday. If they can deal with the fuel mileage and still make enough to make them happy then its a good deal for them. We cant argue. So basically if I'm happy and your are happy with what we have then we are both good. Can you make money here or anywhere as an owner op. Yes. How much is up to each operator.

Does us xpress let you have a fleet of trucks
