I fuel at P lot because I have to. With a few exceptions, it's the only place the company com data card works.
But I never eat there. Fuel, shower ( because I get them free with the fuel purchase ) park for the night sometimes. But eat, no way.
I really don't like parking at P lots either. Seems like all the lots are small. and laid out so badly it almost seems they plan for fender benders. Yes, I drive a company truck, but I do take pride in the truck I drive. I may not own it, but how it looks reflects on me just as much as the company. Why do so many O/O's think that company drivers have no pride in their equipment?
I detest subway. Always have, always will.
Having said that though, the pickings aren't much better at other truck stops either. What ever happened to the truck stops where you could go in, sit down, and actually have someone serve you an actual meal? Fast food is fine once in a while, but it seems every stop has gone to one fast food franchise or another.
I'd love to frequent the good Mom and Pop places, unfortunately I never seem to find any. Or when I do, I find I've already passed them.

There are at least 6 Pilots on I-65 in KY . Two of them used to be truck stops with good restaurants . The one at exit 81 in Sonora used to have an Amish restaurant and Amish gift shop . Pilot booted the Amish out and put in a Subway .

Do you recall the restaurants in the Williams before Pilot bought them. Nice change, right. I wonder if it because of the money they get from the subway chain.

It seems that it is fast food almost everywhere.

Yeah I think the chain was Davis Bros. I think you mean the pilot one exit south of there though. Sonora is the one with the McD's(Another regular orgasm of the pallette). They did do a decent job remodeling the showers though.
