I wanna play in the snow. Well, kinda. Oh well I've been watching a thrilling storm.

Sitting in OKC. Delivering in morning. Had a few short runs coming out of Laredo. Still can't shake the Van. Till the Phoenix fleet gets a new fleet manager and planner, I'm sure this might stay standard for awhile. After I deliver in a few hours, going to head to the OKC terminal and await a load bound for Reno. Student is in the home stretch.

And I managed to capture lightning with a smartphone, I should head over to the casino.

I delivered my load this morning in Eugene then picked one up to t-call here.
I was told loads were slim around here but I got out of the first pplan I was sent.
It was going to Toledo, OR and delivering by 0445 tomorrow. I know that run and it takes a lot longer to get there than the system allows for so I countered with my own times. My times were rejected, and I'm glad of it. I would rather sit for a day or two without layover pay then do that load.
And even with a strict 10 hour break I could not have made it by 0445.

The load assignment was just removed and another pplan sent. I'm not sure even where it's going from the text, but it looks like Canada. It picks up in Portland 2 days ago. Go figure.

 

Just an FYI you can take us20 from Corvallis to Toledo now in a big truck will cut down a lot of time even coming from Portland

 

So, they finally got tired of trucks going through the beach towns.

 

You can still take that way they just finally fixed the bypass the reason why you couldn't take us 20 it was curvy as hell for about 15 Mile Stretch
the way I found out about it is one of my friends lives in Newport and I came down and visited him

Little bit cold driving my Harley down from Montana down to Newport Oregon, the way the weather's looking it'll be a nice drive going back up

 

Rogers, MN at the T&A. I was supposed to be on my way to Buckeye from KC, then I got handed my bills showing 24k of the 34k on the load was hazmat. Time for a 34 while I wait for a Monday appointment. Wonder if I can find some Scotch around here. =D

 

Thanks Luse, I didn't know that. I was wondering why I was being routed that way by the computer.

I'm in Newport, OR at the Walmart.
I got stuck with a different load to the same place this morning, and no good reason to turn it down.
Bobtailed out so I could come here and hopefully will get a load out of Georgia Pacific in the morning.
No pplan yet.

 

Well I got my load.
The pplan says to pick it tonight, but I have plenty of time to pick it up in the morning. So I'm a happy camper.

 

That US 20 east route out of Toledo is really nice. They did a great job on the new section.

I'm headed for Madera, CA for a live unload at 1600 tomorrow.
8 big paper rolls, so it should be a quick unload.

I won't mind going to Toledo, OR any more.
