i know what you mean. mobil delvac makes a strong awful blowby smell on my 60 series. it likes valvoline premium blue the best.
i'll use lucas sometimes where i like the oil to climb, like in gear boxes and stuff. i don't use it because i think the oil needs to be more slippery.
Oil temp too high?

That Lucas demo box has been around for years! I remember seeing them in shops in the 70s. I could turn those cranks instead of bothering my dad who was getting a write up for service. Even if my dad never said it, I'm sure he was happy they were there.

lucas mixed in the gear box on my old BSA and Triumphs really made them shift nicer. it has its place. i don't think it makes engines last longer. ive used in my 60 series before, for the bull gear and associated,if its on sale..
Bean Jr. Thanks this. -
To this day I still can't keep my hands off them.Bean Jr. and Roberts450 Thank this.

but you gotta back off at the top of the hills,if you hit it at the 130+mph you launch the truck, and at the kinda temperatures you see that time of year the tires will never tolerate a landing.spyder7723 and Bean Jr. Thank this.

And just to clarify, he was talking about 130,000 pounds gross, running off road. Not 130 degrees. Carry on.

Looked at the wrong one. As I very seldom read anything of certain people's post. Apologies.
