Taking another swing at it

I'm debating taking my birthday off and going back out Thursday. Kinda want to take off the whole week, but we all have bills to pay.

 

I left out on Friday. I was asked to transport a student to his home area. I'm on my way to Miami. I figured it was on my way.
He seemed pleasant enough but though he should do some of the driving. I says no.
He wanted to get to Miami ASAP. And it would help if he drove too. I could get there Saturday night! I says no. There's very little available parking in that area, and my first stop opens Monday morning.
So he got off the truck near Atlanta. Turns out he lives in Atlanta but his wife is a traveling nurse who was in Miami right now. So instead she will fly home.

 

In my home town, our grocery store formally known as Glen's is selling liquor now, so a liquor store named par t pac says Spartan stores are commie ########. That the city council never asked his thoughts about the store getting a liquor license. So he threw a big pity party at his store with a bunch of home made plywood signs reading tyranny and cronyism and a few other things that look to be written in crayon or as crude graffiti .
Today he took the childish step of vandalizing the geocery stores sign on the building. He was promptly arrested.
Thing is, the grocery store has had a liquor license for a while, they just never carried a lot. Since the remodel, they have a wider variety.
Sounds like his small store has been failing and he needed a scapegoat to place blame on, since it couldn't be his fault. (The place has never been remodeled and looks dated/dirty.)
Last I knew, that's how capitalism works. Thing is, there is another (newly renovated) party store 4 blocks away, who are thriving. I'm glad that place wasn't targeted , it's clean and has a deli too.
Just thought I'd rant.

 

On my way back up from Miami, it was down pouring and my drivers wiper arm fell off....I wonder if I can use an adhesive to make it stay on for a short term? I placed it back on, but I don't know how long that will last.

 

Short haul for the weekend, so went home and left out today, I parked before Chicago because I'm not fighting holiday traffic tonight. I'll wake up before they do and be on site for unload as the sun rises.
