I don't know if you know this but you're on a public forum, if you don't want people to ask questions go private.
No need to get your knickers in a twist.

Because your on a public forum.
That's what this is. Wal-mart doesn't own TTR.

this is also a forum for us Walmart drivers to discuss our issues. This isn't a recruiting page to tell you how to do a pretrip or how long for your status to change.

You're right. They do not like equipment sitting anymore. They even want to do away with 6/3's since the truck sits half a day once a week.

Did you notice Jeff mentioned third party for " outbound RDC freight"? Not grocery. Here's my off the wall theory- the stores will morph into mainly grocery stores, as the supercenters reach the end of their lifespan they will be replaced with smaller stores with a mix of about 80% grocery and the rest GM. At the front of the store there will be computer kiosks where you can shop for the rest of the GM merchandise not carried in the store. Next day or second day delivery to your home. Or store pick up of course- which the company wants as you are then tempted to make that impulse grocery buy. The fleet becomes mainly grocery drivers, with some GM mixed in. Our office is already considering how to load a trailer partly with GM, then move it to the grocery building to fill with grocery , in order to use one truck instead of two for deliveries.

They make reefer trailers with a sliding divider
    In it.
Load the refrigerated stuff in the nose, slide the
Fold out divider up against it.
Then load anything you want behind it.
You can pull cold and dry freight at the same time.

This is a public forum: thats my opinion. I do no business whatsoever with Walmart.
I have valid reasons and rationales from which I drew these conclusions.
I left a lengthy post of the reasons why I do not like Wally Worlds business model
yesterday to reply to the last comment. Apparently moderators took it down?
Sorry if someone found it offensive - but truth is truth. I will not be slurred and not reply.

Google search -"The Walmart you dont know" - on Fast Company.
They say it better than I ever could.

And I will park wherever I want.

Jeff Hammonds, Vice President, Walmart Transportation. So, yes, he is a quasi-public individual.
