The .20 per mile per diem is not as good as it sounds.
.20 x 3000mpw= $600 / 7 days = $85 per day. That's $44 a day more than what the IRS allows ( $52 pd x 80% = $41 pd ). That's $44 that YOU will have to pay taxes on at a rate of 15.2% for social security, plus what ever % of the income tax bracket you are in.
any info on Poly Trucking?

This company is like being an owner operator. This company is great. Just have to follow the rules. Pick where you want to go, not forced dispatch.
Getting into the company will take a long time. Very low turn-over. -
wow that per diem is confusing cuz i am lost on the whole thing\
-
not really confusing, You get paid the .43 cpm. you just can't claim the days that you are out on your taxes. You are only taxed on .23 cpm. It will put you in a lower tax bracket, thats it. Hey a lower tax bracket will not hurt anybody in this economy right now. You can still claim your everyday stuff like detergent, cell phone, everything else.
well if you try to get on here, there is a $1000 recruit paid. I will give you half(after taxes taken out). only thing is it comes in a walmart shopping card. But thats easy to spend too.prairiedogjon Thanks this. -

they do not force you to run anywhere no forced dispatch no new york city you pick the load another thing that is real interesting, lets sayy you have a 4 stop load you dont get paid for the first two but every stop after that is $30 until you reach a yard
example:
poly yard
!st= free
2nd= free
3rd= $30
4th= $30
Pick up backhaul= $30
deliver back haul = $30
every stop until you get to a yard is $30
that is a good deal I love it
you can live about anywhere to work here. even Alabama
if you want to join I will give you my info and we will share the $1000 bonus gift card after my taxes are taken outprairiedogjon and aztrucker11 Thank this. -
