Actually, that is not a bad policy at all, considering the inherent dangers of these places. It protects the driver and it protects the load.

Hi mje I agree.Seeing a trk with their name printed on the door and trailer gives that company a bad image being parked in a strip club lot.I wouldn't wanna get caught.

 

Yea a lot of outfits in the past would preach no parking. At strip joints, sex stores, and even certain well known trk stops. But I haven't heard of this in quite some time. I guess it's OK now?

 

Lol. What are you guys talking about. Some companies will fire you for parking on a off ramp. I will use a Lions Den parking lot in a split second. Sometimes I even cover my eyes and walk inside and buy a Pepsi for my appreciation of the parking. Clearly I'm going to hell.

When I worked for a mega the set in stone rule was NEVER use a church parking lot to turn around in or park. Got it. It tears the asphalt up and trucking companies have to buy the church new pavement. Park in a sex store lot who welcomes trucks now you have to worry about the local minister who just waddled out of the store with 50 dollars worth of lube and other items, seeing your truck in the lot and reporting you for being on a ten hour break and buying a Pepsi.
Actually I find them to be cleaner and more respectable than most truck stops, and have never had my hood ripped off in one.
