So I seen a hammock designed for day cab trucks online and took a chance and bought one. A little pricey at $55 but it makes those 4+hour delays so much more bearable. I highly recommend it to any local driver who has long waits for loading and unloading. Edit says 250lbs on their website. Home

I bought a cheap hammock that rolls up into a ball about the size of a softball for storage.
Installed an eye-bolt in upper right corner just above windshield and another eye-bolt just above the back of the drivers seat. I would hang the hammock from the eye-bolts, open the windows a little to get a breeze and then sleep like a baby.Grubby, DoneYourWay, KillingTime and 2 others Thank this. -
I need to ask what's the weight rating.... GVWR... on that hammock? I go 190. Some of us do not.
I ask only because I had this mental of a 350lb guy trying it and ultimately ending up stuck between the seats. For God knows how long. Lol. -

As a flatbedder, check under the deck in the middle where there might be a hammock in use, usually check also that the tractor is locked, chocked and engine off so that no one can take off with it and you under that deck. (And they have...)
In my time we used a 5 foot board yea wide across the seats and out the pax door a little bit. That served well enough. Or stuffed yourself into a corner like a cat which you young ones can do without too much trouble. Not so much when you are along in years.Dominick253 Thanks this. -
The guy I was training slept in it laying on his stomach. I asked how in the world can you sleep in a net hammock on your stomach? He just said it is more comfortable that way.Grubby, Boattlebot, Shock Therapy and 2 others Thank this. -
