I got goose bumps reading this thread. It's so true. It's a brotherhood out there. Apparently the trucking genes in me are a whole lot stronger than what I could have ever imagined. I would have been a 3rd generation truck driver had I of wanted to drive, instead my hubby is driving. lol We were running around in our little one horse town taking care of some things when we saw a truck pull off to the side of the road. As we passed by, we noticed that he was pulling out an Atlas, he was lost. I told hubby to stop my car in the middle of the road cause I was gonna give him directions! We went on and took care of business and come back and he was in our local Wal Mart parking lot stopped...Hubby jumped out of the turning lane and was heading to WalMart...I reckon the driver finally had em figured out cause he started moving just as soon as we got through the light but I had my hubby on a wild goose chase cause I was gonna give him directions. lol I NEVER hesitate helping a truck driver...This truck driver's wifey is proud of all the truckers out there and will always do whatever I can to help.

:) Thank you all for the positive comments, and for keeping this thread alive. The only way these new guys are going to learn is if we teach them, not yell at them, ridicule them, but teach them.

Keep that in mind the next time you want to cuss a swift driver out on the radio.. We all make mistakes.

That's a good way of putting it. Old time Truckers need to filter down the morals
and values of truking to the new breed. Life today is so messed up it's going away.
    It needs to bought back.

I dont drive otr but rather a concrete truck in state but I throw a wave to any truck and am more than glad to help with directions when a truck is lost in town or just needs help. Ill admit though I get alot of funny looks climbing out of the truck and they see a 19 yr old "punk" kid lol. My old man always said to help as many people out as you can b/c you never know whose going to show up when you need help.
