Yep. It's pretty awesome. They only allow it up to 10' wide and you have to have a chase car. Gotta start somewhere though.
On another note.
Picked up a pilot today. Told him yesterday to meet me at PA/NY line at 8:30AM. I rolled by at 8:40 and there he was ready to go and on time at the top of the ramp waiting for me. I went by and he fell right in behind me.
He's a former OS/OW driver from Daily that had to retire for medical reasons. Everything was in order on his vehicle. No waiting for him to flag up or figure out how to plug his light cord into the lighter hole.
I wish more were like that.

Moving OD at night bothers the crap out of me. Dealing with these crazy drivers is a handful in daylight.

I love moving stuff at night. Scales aren't usually open, less traffic, cooler weather for the truck.Big_Red, Oxbow, DDlighttruck and 6 others Thank this.

Same here. I'd rather move all night with all the time and room in the world to work. No having to dodge curfews or deal with rush hour traffic.Oxbow, DDlighttruck, wore out and 1 other person Thank this.

We're allowed to move up to 10 wide on 4 lane highways here in ON. Only thing that bothers me is vehicles parked on the fog line with the lights out.
Oxbow, DDlighttruck, passingthru69 and 6 others Thank this. -
WI allows up to 12' Wide, 13'6" High, 150' Long, and as heavy as you want 24/7.Oxbow, DDlighttruck, passingthru69 and 5 others Thank this.

Oxbow, Razororange, Al. Roper and 4 others Thank this. -
I like to sleep at night. 5 am to 8 pm. Those are the only hours my truck run. Any other time and it won't crank. Don't know why.
Oxbow, Landincoldfire, Razororange and 3 others Thank this.
